Music is Service

Being charitable is often the most powerful when it’s simple and exposes who you are. I feel sometimes I’ve missed the boat as an artist. Seeking perfection has kept me cloistered in practice, thought, and detail. Though I’ve played at many charity events throughout my life and have given money to groups that are close to my heart, which are ASPCA, Buddhists Concerned for Animals, PETA, World Wildlife Fund, and a few others; I’ve made my human charitable acts primarily on the one on one level. I had an awakening last night, which to most will seem obvious, to start sharing my musicianship as a solo artist. As a saxophonist, I thought that I needed a band, but it’s the heart and intent that counts. Anyway, you’ll see posts on this site, facebook and twitter when I play out at unlikely places.
